In the world of salsa dancing, styling is like the detailing on a car. Or the difference between going out with and without makeup.
Ladies can learn the art of styling, which takes on added importance in competitive or performance salsa, during a 3-1/2-hour workshop this Sunday at La Luna Dance Studio in Bensalem, Pa. But it also can spice up your social dancing too! The instructor will be NYC-based Melissa Pabon who will teach body movement, sexy styling and On-2 spin technique from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The cost is $45 at door. For information, Call (818) 502.1388
About Luna Dance
Originally called Olymp Dance Academy (ODA), our studio was established in 1996. Inspired by the beauty of the moon, and our dance teacher's name, in 2000, it was re-named Luna Dance. Lusine "Luna" Vagarshakian started teaching when she was 14-years-old.
She began her journey to the top with just a few girls, and has now evolved into a dance group with over 300 students from the ages of 3 and up. Her hard work and determination has brought her to be the youngest, most successful dance teacher out there. She is one of a kind and there is nothing that can match her.
Luna Dance is like a family of girls and every student is considered to be another one of our sisters. We are together at least three times a week and it’s like a second home to most of us. Video shoots, concert performances, and road trips are the fun times we share together. Preparing for concerts, long nights of practice, and dance over five hours a day are the best parts of our memories. We have met a lot of friends that we now consider sisters here at Luna Dance and it is all thanks to the one and only Luna. No other dance school has the close bond with their teacher like we do and were very lucky to have her in our lives.
Luna has had many obstacles that she had to overcome, and because of those obstacles, she has gotten stronger and smarter and stands before us as the beautiful young woman we all know and love today.
